Hügelkultur Garden
This project showcases a Hügelkultur garden designed and supervised by Gaby, integrating sustainable techniques to enhance soil health and water retention. The process began with the construction of raised mounds using logs, branches, and organic matter, creating a nutrient-rich foundation for plant growth. Over time, the decomposing wood improved soil structure and moisture retention, fostering a self-sustaining ecosystem. By year three, the mounds were framed with wood to form defined garden beds, combining ecological function with a natural, structured aesthetic.
